Marais Centre, Tenom
Marais Centre is a Murut Community Centre founded by Samwisemusic & Samwisedigital on 29 April 2018 with the aim to assist and improve the socio-economy of the community of Marais Village. As the saying goes, “leaving in harmony with the community and experienced nature’s at its best in the interior of Sabah”
The Murut were the last of Sabah's ethnic groups to renounce headhunting. It seems frightening but be assured that headhunting is a long gone practice by the Murut. Today at Marais Centre you can experience the tradition, culture and custom of the Murut. Many activities had been prepared to cater to your needs.

Getting There
It’s about 145km from Kota Kinabalu or about 2 hours 30 minutes drive. You can opt to take an express bus from the Terminal Bus Station at Jalan Padang, Bandaran Berjaya. The departure time will be from 6.30 am until 6.00 pm with an estimated cost of RM17.00. Upon reaching Tenom Town or taxi stand, find a taxi and get to Marais Centre which is about 30km or 45 minutes’ drive away from Tenom Town.
