Sayap Village, Kadamaian

The tranquil village of Sayap Village lies north of Mount Kinabalu within the Kota Belud district. The village sits at the foot of Mount Kinabalu, bordering Kinabalu Park and gives a wonderful view of the mountain. Apart from the challenging route to the village, a visit to Sayap Village promises an experience of traditional village life style of the Dusun Tindal community. An adventure for trekkers when ascending steep hiking trails that lead to the upper reaches of the mountain.
It is used to be called ‘Minangkap’, which means a village on the hills. Now, Sayap Village is developing education all tourism with a collaboration of a primary school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sayap.
